Our two new Charity Partners

We are delighted to announce our annual Charity Partners - Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire and Martin’s Mountain.

Working with local charities has been an important feature for our team for many years and it has always been our objective to constantly improve the support that we can offer. We will continue to support a number of other charities but we have some very strong personal links to both of these great organisations.

We are pledging contributions to both charities, but we are also planning to add value to both organisations in any way that we can – promoting their stories, hosting events and building strong relationships for the future.

The Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire charity aims to increase awareness across the region’s business community of Cancer Research UK’s work and to encourage business leaders to work together to support the charity through a range of fundraising activities.

Statistics show that 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime, the charity is determined to help fight one of Yorkshire’s biggest killers by raising funds for life-saving cancer research carried out by Cancer Research UK in our local area. Through many of our own personal journeys at Pratap Partnership, it is a charity and subject that we feel very strongly connected to.

Martin’s Mountain is a local charity pioneered by Martin Hibbert, whose life was changed forever on 22nd May 2017. Martin was the closest survivor of the Manchester Arena bombing which tragically took the lives of 22 people. A bolt went straight through him, severed his spinal cord and left him paralysed below the waist.  Since then, Martin has pledged to raise funds for the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) who gave him the hope, confidence and practical skills to start again.

Martin worked with quite a few of our team during his time as a recruiter in Leeds. He has been a close friend to us and is an inspirational character for so many reasons.

On 9th June 2022, Martin reached the summit of Kilimanjaro using a specially adapted wheelchair with the team who helped save my life. Martin’s aim is to raise £1million for SIA.  We know the grit and determination it took to accomplish this; therefore we are delighted to support this fantastic charity.

We are committed to work alongside each charity partner is a variety of capacities, and we look forward to sharing these with you throughout the year.  In the meantime, please don’t hesitate on clicking on the charity’s links to find out more.
