Two of our partners had a successful history of recruiting for Sigma, placing in a Head of Accounting and an interim. This had given us a solid understanding of the business and the PE investor, Three Hills Capital. Our relationship with the CFO was a relatively new one, but we had known of his reputation and track record for many years. Our history with the business and our relationship with the CFO, made the challenge of recruiting a new Finance Director a very attractive one for us.

The requirement was for a Financial Director level candidate to lead the business, support the CFO and the rest of the SLT.

Expectation was for an “upper-quartile” candidate with equally high levels of technical accounting knowledge and leadership skills.
