Working in financial recruitment since 1998

Karen has been working in financial recruitment since 1998 and is one of the most reputable and long serving recruitment consultants, at this level, in the area.

After leaving school Karen worked as an administrator in the welding industry for 12 years before ‘falling’ into recruitment. Whilst looking for an alternative role, she applied for an administrator job, working for a small privately owned boutique agency. They immediately spotted her natural talent for recruitment and her career grew from there. She set up a temporary desk, and from nothing, became one of the top billing consultants in the business.

She spent 17 years there, but in 2014 she moved to a privately invested independent business, recruiting for transactional and part qualified roles, as well as for temporary and contract positions. It was there that she first met Nik.

At the beginning of 2020, Karen was given the opportunity to join Nik again, at Pratap Partnership.

This was an easy decision for her to make, as she already knew they worked well together, and was excited about joining a team of forward thinking and dynamic people, working alongside Gillian, Elise and Nicola once again.

Karen leads on all aspects of non-qualified financial recruitment and works with key clients on professional support campaigns. She has made a significant impact since joining and has confirmed our belief that she is indeed one of the best accountancy and finance recruiters in the region.
