Statistics show that one in two people with be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. World Cancer Day on 4th February, aims to raise awareness of cancer, to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

It is a topic close to our hearts within Pratap Partnership for many reasons and that’s why we chose Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire as one of our two Charity Partners.

Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire aims to bring together the business community of Yorkshire to raise vital funds for life-saving cancer research carried out by Cancer Research UK.  Since, launching on World Cancer Day 2021, they have raised over £80,000.

Our very own Amanda O’Neill has recently been announced as one of the Board of Directors at Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire. The board is made up of seven Yorkshire business people from a wide range of professional sectors who are determined to help fight one of Yorkshire’s biggest killers  through a range of fundraising activities.

Throughout the year, we plan to continuously partake in fundraising activities to help bring awareness to this worthwhile charity.  For example, over Christmas we brought a little festive fun to the office with a Charity Christmas jumper day, and suggested a donation to the charity instead of the usual Christmas gifts.
