Only 17% of financial leadership appointments across the Yorkshire region in 2020 were female – a representation that is alarming to us and to our network.

Some of our advertised campaigns during the year produced interesting statistics, for example, several Director level campaigns generated applications that were over 90% male dominated. This was in contrast to some Manager/Controller level campaigns where the candidate pool was over 70% female dominated.

Even with Equality, Diversity & Inclusion being a regular topic of conversation and an active strategy for many employers, these cases throw up many questions.
