People Network has been one of Pratap Partnership’s fastest growing areas of business over the last 3 years. The Executive Search service that we offer represents a large part of our People Network business – we have constantly evolved our proposition and have been proud to successfully deliver on over 30 searches involving over 1,000 candidates.

By combining our industry expertise and strong networks with advanced research techniques and the very latest technology, modern search can significantly enhance the recruitment process for executive-level positions. It enables businesses to attract and secure top talent, leading to successful leadership placements and long-term business success.

At Pratap Partnership, our modern executive search approach is designed to provide comprehensive support throughout the recruitment process, ensuring that businesses secure top-tier executive talent for their leadership positions. We understand the importance of finding the right fit, and our expertise and advanced methodologies enable us to deliver exceptional result something which is reflected in a recent testimonial we received:

“Pratap Partnership were highly successful with the three roles they recruited for us. All roles were recruited according to their clearly defined process, which clearly stated what would happen week by week. The initial candidate pool from which first and second-stage candidates would come, was at least double the size that was offered by other companies. The quality of candidate was strong and their introduction to our business through a "best in class" job and business introduction brochure enabled candidates to have a clear understanding of the business, the role, as well as the business direction. My experience with Pratap Partnership was first class”

Over the next 6 weeks we plan to share with you a series of articles that discuss the different stages of executive search services and how they contribute to the recruitment process. These include:

  • Scoping the role and client needs
  • Market Research / Benchmarking
  • Search
  • Assessment and Screening Process
  • Metrics
  • Negotiation and Offer Management
  • Feedback

My first experience of retained search was in 2020 when we created People Network within Pratap Partnership. I had fifteen years of experience in recruitment at senior levels (including search), a great network and all the support from our business, including all of the resources that I needed to deliver, but it was a very daunting time. I am the first to admit that my imposter syndrome lingered for a very long period – I was now operating in a market with very different expectations, standards and operating practices.

Over the past few years, we have dedicated ourselves to developing "our way" of working and studying the most effective approaches to deliver each aspect of our service. As a result, our current process bears little resemblance to what it was four years ago. We are constantly seeking ways to enhance our methods, and I am confident that we will have progressed even further in the next twelve months.

Reflecting on some of the roles that I have lead on that include Chair, CEO and HRD and across PE, private investor and not-for-profit, is not only rewarding, but finally shakes off the last few shreds of imposter syndrome and more committed to constantly evolve the service that we provide.
